The HUMBLE BINDI – its downfall & resurgence in 21st century India

The BINDU or the BINDI that women wear.

It has almost become a FAD NOT TO WEAR this, all thanks to all the ABRAHMIC influences  which have been peddled to the Indian WOMEN as a symbol of EMPOWERMENT & FREEDOM & MODERNITY.

A few examples

Barkha Dutt – an Indian journalist known for all the wrong reasons

Here’s another – Sagarika Bose

Here’s the result of a random BING search “bollywood actress”

This is what I got out of GOOGLE search

Not even ONE PICTURE is with a BINDI.

What’s the message we are giving to our FUTURE GENERATION. BINDI is old fashioned, and NOT COOL.

Funny thing is the BURQA is also peddled as a symbol of women empowerment & freedom – HOW?

The BURQA is clearly an accessory to HIDE your face and BODY PARTS. The custom started as a way for a certain sect of people to protect their women from their own war mongering men whose libido was not in control.

But the BINDI got a little bit of traction because of SWATI MOHAN, the Indian NRI SCIENTIST in NASA who was involved with the NASA ROWER LANDING on MARS.

There’s also SMRITI IRANI, Minister of Textiles Union Cabinet of India, Govt of India who wears a bindi always

We also have people like VIDYA BALAN  who do sport a BINDI most of the time & KANGANA RANAUT some times.

Another aspect of this issue is most people who wear it, think of it as an ACCESSORY, so they will find either a STICKER BINDI or some INDUSTRIAL CONCOCTION (LIQUID KUMKUM), to stick or smear on their foreheads. These are absolutely detrimental to the very reason why this BINDU was recommended in the first place.

Its to do with your AJNA CHAKRA & your CONSCIOUSNESS

The BINDI is NOT JUST AN ACCESSORY, its much more than that.

Here’s a video to help you find out more about it and also HOW TO MAKE 100% PURE NATURAL KUMKUM within MINUTES at HOME using things that are commonly available in any Indian KITCHEN.

Jaya jaya shankara hara hara shankara!
